Hi, we’re Bangor University's Snooker and Pool Club. We currently run two sessions a week – 7pm till close at Bar Uno on Sundays and 6pm till late at City Snooker (near Varsity) on Thursdays.
We try to mix social and competitive pool with the games of snooker. Thursday sessions are more competitive and focused on preparing for tournaments whereas Sundays are a time for the whole club to come together and enjoy playing pool in the SU bar.
We offer our members the chance to play in various tournaments across the country, including the Welsh University Championship and the BUCS tournament in Great Yarmouth. Beyond this, the club sets up a league and various snooker and pool competitions throughout the year. All abilities are welcome to join; we focus on trying to help people get better at pool and snooker and have seen drastic improvements from people that were completely new to the game.
