What happens if there are no interview appointments left, or I can't make one?
Don't worry, simply email email nightline@undeb.bangor.ac.uk for more information.
Do I need any kind of experience to be a volunteer?
No experience is required as Nightline is really looking for people who display our core principles, and who can learn to be great Nightliners through our training process.
What are the benefits of volunteering with Nightline?
You get to learn the invaluable skill of active listening and experience in dealing with sometimes difficult situations which is desirable in any field of employment. You'll be able to meet lots of other like minded students from all kinds of courses and year groups.
Millennium Volunteering accreditation really helps boost your CV and helps show your dedication.
You also get to help other students. Nightline is also very unique in terms of letting you decide when you commit your time to volunteering, because you decide what nights of term you will volunteer on. You can do this months or hours in advance in order to suit your academic and social life. It is true to say that like all other volunteering projects you really only get out what you are prepared to put in.
