How to get Involved

The easiest way to get involved is to come down to one of our circuits sessions, introduce yourself, and we will then get you sorted for a water session if its rowing that you want to do. Or if its convenient, why not come to one of the taster sessions, where you can experience rowing with the club. Rowing sessions are usually split into men's and women's, due to large numbers, however we do try to mix the sessions at weekends.

We also have non competitive social rowing every Sunday @ 2 p.m. (weather permitting) check the University Intranet board for updates.
If you want to contact the women's or men's captain they are available on:

Men's Captain - Dan Harris

Women's Captain -Steph Jaques

Remember if you are coming down to a rowing session bring lots of warms clothes, some sturdy/wet shoes (some footwear that you don't mind getting wet to go in the boat*) and a big smile!

To join the mailing listings, please click email Dan or Steph. Here you will receive all the information for new members, and when you join will will move you to a new mailing list.

Kit (OUT OF DATE, NEW KIT INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!)

Right then, so you wanna get your hands on some lycra after seeing everyone else's...

To start visit HERE to go to the Bangor Uni club kit page.

Select any piece of kit you want, select the size, making sure men gets male sizes and women get female sizes!

Add any embroidery you want, name etc.

Then make sure you select 'Hold my Order until the cut off date' this enables the club to take advantage of buying in bulk, and will make it alot cheaper for everyone.

If it asks for a address, it doesn't matter what you put in because it will come to the SU, but it requires an entry, so the SU address is_ 'Students’ Union, Bangor University, Deiniol Road, Bangor, Gwynedd, LL57 2TH'

Enter your card details and your done.

The kit will be delivered to the SU, as soon as its here, we will bring it all to circuits and the water session and you can get it there.

We have found that the best kit to buy is the 'All in One' and the 'Long Sleeved Techtop', these are pretty much vital kit if you wanna go racing, and they keep you quite warm out on the Menai.

Please be aware; that the price will change on how many people will buy the kit, ask around, it really does save money if more than one person buys a SplashTop for example. Godfreys will charge your card on the cut off date, so if you havnt got it when you order it doenst matter. The next ordering session won't be till January

Sizing, all i know about the Mens sizes that I (Ian) have a medium, and i think some of the bigger guys fit a medium, if you are unsure about sizing, just ask someone and they can point you in the correct direction.

I know it costs more than most kit, but please if you can afford it, get it, its really handy and it makes the club look the part when we go away, half of winning is in the mind and it will make you feel part of the crew. Any questions at all email the club, or Godfrey direct

Don't order hoodies from here, the order for our proper hoodies comes through another provider and this will be sorted soon, as soon as people get there membership in!
