“Let’s be human and get physical...”
Bangor Geographical Society (Geog Soc) won the prestigious ‘Society of the Year’ award and our campaigns have achieved university-wide recognition and respect in the local community.
We are a society part-funded by the School of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Geography (SENRGy). Any person with an interest in the environment, sustainability & global issues should join and members are welcomed from all degree courses.
The society is guided by a committee of 8 students who organise socials, campaigns and ensure that events are enjoyed by all members.
Last year Geog Soc received recognition from the SU for successful trips to London and Dublin. We also visited the Fun Centre in Caernarfon and held our traditional Christmas and Summer Ball.
This year we will be hosting a variety of fun socials with regular get-togethers and trips to top attractions. With your help, our campaigns during ‘Green Week’ and the nationwide ‘FairTrade Week’ will be bigger and better than ever.
