As a student group we are very social. We meet weekly at different venues across Bangor for a laugh and to discuss current topics. Aside from the social meetings, we work alongside local Liberal Democrats to help with leafleting events and campaigning. We like to keep strong ties with the Lib Dem community in Bangor, parliamentary candidates, and local Councillors.
We are affiliated with Liberal Youth, the student branch of the Liberal democrats and continue to strengthen these connections by participating in national Liberal Youth events. At the BSLDS (Bangor Students Liberal Democrat Society), we are committed to student values. We have no direct involvement with party politics but hold regular discussion on what we read from the media with particular focus towards student matters.
We attend party conferences held in different locations across the country, and have the opportunity to take part in training events held by the Welsh Lib Dems as well as the wider Lib Dem Party.
Our main focus however is being able to meet regularly with likeminded students, share our thoughts, hang out and party!
