Drawn to Art?
Become part of the picture!

The Art society is the perfect opportunity to relax away from the stresses of your course. We welcome all abilities and styles. We also provide free material (although you are welcome to bring your own!), wine and nibbles. So come along, sip some vino with us, and sketch to your heart’s content!

This year we have a variety of themes lined up to tackle over the year and we will also be including monthly outdoor sessions to soak up the beautiful Bangor area. We hope this year to continue our excursions further afield. Last year we visited the Tate gallery in Liverpool which was a roaring success.

We will be hosting regular fancy-dress socials leading on from last year’s hit ‘Jungle Night’. We also meet up for weekly socials in the Yellow Pub straight after the art session, so come and join us!

Weekly activities include: life drawing, collaging, finger painting, portraiting, oil and chalk pasteling, still-life drawing and Christmas card making.

Info: Our sessions are held in the Wheldon building from 7pm till 9pm every Monday. The membership cost is £5 per semester, but if you don’t want to join you can pay £1 for individual sessions.
