Learning Welsh

Bangor is a proudly bilingual and the University offers opportunities to all who wish to learn the Welsh language. The University has over 3000 students that speak Welsh as a first language, and the majority of the 7000 other students that we have, start to learn when they arrive in Bangor. 1800 of these have been registered to learn the language on University courses, and others learn through other courses, on their own steam or through the Llewelyn Society (the learners’ society). All of these are able to join UMCB, as well as the students that ahve an interest in the Welsh culture.

Dysgu Cymraeg

Mae Bangor yn gymuned ddwyieithog falch ac mae’r Brifysgol yn cynnig cyfle i bawb sy’n dymuno gwneud hynny i ddysgu Cymraeg. Mae gan y Brifysgol dros 3000 o fyfyrwyr sy’n siarad Cymraeg fel iaith gyntaf, ac mae llawer o’r 7000 o fyfyrwyr eraill sydd gennym yn dechrau dysgu pryd maent yn cyrraedd Bangor. Mae 1800 o’r rhain wedi cofrestru i ddysgu ar gyrsiau’r Brifysgol, ac mae eraill yn dysgu trwy gyrsiau eraill, ar eu pennau’u hunain neu drwy Gymdeithas Llywelyn (y gymdeithas i ddysgwyr). Mae pob un o’r rhain yn gallu ymuno ag UMCB, yn ogystal â’r myfyrwyr sydd â diddordeb yn y diwylliant Cymreig.
